* Garmin Mobile XT Support software version 4.xx.xx (30.20 MB)
1. run the GMXT v5.0 setup files n choose your destination (install to card), then cli*k on Install
(connect phone in mass storage mode)
2. once completed, u have to repeat step 1 for installation of GMXT support files.
3. disconnect phone from pc. launch GMXT. for 1st time, it will prompt for settings of language, units, etc. so, choose your preferred settings. then connect to a garmin gps.
if GMXT cant be launched, try to locate the GarminMobileXT.sis in ur memory card, n then install it.
4. next, choose connect to a garmin gps. cli*k cancel when it prompt searching for gps device.
5. on the main menu screen, choose Tools -> Settings -> About > make note of your Card id & close the app.
6. run GMXT keygen. enter card id & press the top Generate key to generate a device code.
7. copy the device unlock key & paste in Notepad. save the file as SW.UNL (choose save as type: All Files)
(If you do not save the file using type All Files then the file is saved as a .txt type file
and it won’t work unless the .txt extension is removed by renaming)
8. reconnect to pc using mass storage mode. move the SW.UNL file to your memory card --> under "Garmin" directory..
9. disconnect phone from pc. now, run GMXT -> Tools -> Settings -> System ->Remote GPS. Choose enable "Use Attached/Built-in GPS".
(if there is no choices and only a “pair new GPS” selection
then you have a problem, either with the SW.UNL file (maybe with .txt extension or other)
or incorrect keygen procedure install. recheck and/or redo above.)

- Option to generate MFM-lite version
MFM-Lite has been incorporated into MFM-Garmin. You can generate the lite version using MFM's map generator at the end of the installation process. Just check the "Exclude colored polygons..." box.
- Proper annoucement of U-turns
Garmin now recognise our maps' left-hand traffic direction. It will ask users to "Make a U-turn" instead of "Turn right then turn right". Our mappers will be updating their maps to conform to Garmin's U-turn standard. If you encounter an U-turn which is not announced properly, please feedback to us.
Because of the change in traffic system, you are advised to turn off (uncheck) U-turn avoidance for better route suggestions.

Tutorial : how to create gmapsupp.img from MFM map for Garmin Mobile XT malaysia & singapore's map
- Double click MFM-Garmin-(YYMMDD).exe [Year-Month-Day]. ( Download from malfreemaps )
- Select setup language , click OK.
- Click Next.
- Accept the agreement and click Next.
- Recommended to use the default folder for MFM map. Click Next.
- Choose Custom Polygons & POIs and click Next.
- Ready To Install MFM Map. Click Install.
- Installation in progress
- Choose Yes to complete the map creation.
- Select Map Options & Display Customization.
- Exclude Colored Polygons (Less laggy) Good for Garmin Mobile XT
- Include Miscellanous Business POI (Like Insurance campanys, and Others Company Name POIs)
- Include Road POI (you can search road name under Points of Interest. This option may slow down your Mobile XT)
- Include Chinese POI (POIs in Chinese Simplify 简体)
- Enable custom icon for Nuvi 765, 1460, etc (for Garmin 765 and Garmin 1xxx series)
- Map display customization
o Full [Full Custom (the road display a bit different) + Custom Icon & Polygon (House & Shop in color)]
o Custom Polygon & POI only [Dispaly custom Polygon (House & Shop in color) & POI Icon (Shell station will display in Shell Logo)]
o Default (Original Garmin Display)
I prefer Road POI + Custom Polygon & POI.
- Proceed to generate gmapsupp.img with selected Options > click Yes.
The gmapsupp.img is created in your pc "C:\Garmin\Malfreemaps" (you may copy this file to other unit or memory card after installation)
- MFM gmapsupp.img has been created. (Do u want to send this map to memory card Now).
If Yes, please select your memory card drive. Map must save within the
"Garmin" folder. For example, "F:\Garmin" . It takes a while to transfer
your map into your memory card
If you select No, later you may copy the gmapsupp.img by locating it from your pc "C:\Garmin\Malfreemaps" folder.
- Please wait until the "Process Completed" message is displayed. Click OK.
- Finish.
10. next put the map (gmapsupp.img - extract from malaysia n singapore map.exe above) into your memory card --> under "Garmin" directory.
NOTE:
some maps require to be installed (setup files) & unlocked
DONE!
for the 1st time, u can only view the map after u receive the satellite signal..
(green bars at top left of the main menu screen)
u need to go outside to receive better gps signal..
